A Chinese famille rose teapot and matching stand with floral decoration — Yongzheng/Qianlong Period (1723–1795)

A Chinese famille rose teapot and matching stand with floral decoration — Yongzheng/Qianlong Period (1723–1795)

A Chinese famille rose porcelain teapot with its original matching stand, dating to the Yongzheng–Qianlong period (1723–1795). The globular body, cover and stand are finely moulded and decorated in overglaze enamels with chrysanthemum sprays and other flowering plants reserved within shaped cartouches against a dense floral ground.

The stand is formed as a lobed flowerhead and closely follows the decoration of the teapot, creating a harmonious ensemble. The cover features radiating moulded panels, while the body displays carefully balanced floral reserves framed by pink enamel decoration.

Teapots accompanied by their original stands are encountered less frequently than individual examples, as the two elements were often separated over time. The present set preserves both components, allowing the original presentation to be appreciated.
