A Chinese iron-red and gilt-decorated covered bowl with elegant ladies and tulips — Kangxi period (1662–1722)

A Chinese porcelain covered bowl from the Kangxi period (1662–1722), decorated in iron-red enamels with gilt accents. The exterior features alternating panels with elegant court ladies and flowering tulips, framed by finely painted floral scrolls.

The bowl and cover are richly ornamented with repeating floral motifs, while the figural scenes reflect the popular Kangxi-era taste for depictions of refined female figures in garden settings. The combination of iron-red decoration and gilding is characteristic of high-quality Qing porcelains produced at Jingdezhen during the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
